I truly cannot say enough good things about Independent Restoration Services and the owner Colton. In the middle of an otherwise normal day, I found a major water leak in our house that did considerable damage to half our home. I called Colton on a referral and he was at my house within a few hours. His crew showed up the next say and started doing what had to be done—removing water, packing up all our belongings, moving them to storage, and then ripping out all the damaged floors and walls. He knew his stuff, helped us get maximum reimbursement from insurance, documented the damage well, and took care of everything. A few things that stuck out to me: First, Colton shows up on what are really bad days for his clients. He was empathetic and compassionate. He listened, answered questions, was very patient, and helped me understand the process. Second, he and his crew were very respectful of both me and of my home. I never once felt uncomfortable with the guys on his crew. As a woman, that is really important to me. They took a lot of care with our belongings, even the stuff that seems ordinary to them but were priceless to me. They were thorough and careful. I loved that they moved all our stuff for us and took care or finding the storage facility and getting it all set up. At such a chaotic and difficult time for us, they really took a lot of concerns and errands off our plate. Finally, and most importantly, is that several things occurred that showed me Colton is a man with integrity. It is important to him to take care of people and to do the right thing. He truly cares about both his clients but also about doing a good job for people during some very hard moments in their lives. I can easily recommend him with no reservation. I couldn’t recommend a better company! We were out of town for the weekend and came back to find our toilet had clogged and kept running nonstop. We called Colton immediately and he came out with his crew and started extracting the standing water. He explained to us the dangers in water coming from the toilet and how it was absorbed and hiding in all sorts of materials. We rent our house so our renters insurance covered our personal items but the structure fell under our landlord. IRS worked with both insurance companies to get everything squared away, cleaned up, and dried. No need to wait for someone to answer and schedule you in a day later. Colton answered immediately and was out the same afternoon!
